The fire before the last hour

Photo: The fire before the last hour

We have it under our foot in Adan in Yemen !... it is fire….the fire that, according to the Islamic literature, will drive people to their assembly place on the Last Day.

Hudhaifa b. Usaid Ghifari reported: Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) came to us all of a sudden as we were (busy in a discussion). He said: What do you discuss about? They (the Companions) said. We are discussing about the Last Hour. Thereupon he said: It will not cone until you see ten signs before and (in this connection) he made a mention of the smoke, Dajjal, the beast, the rising of the sun from the west, the descent of Jesus son of Mary (Allah be pleased with him), the Gog and Magog, and land-sliding in three places, one in the east, one in the west and one in Arabia at the end of which fire would burn forth from the Yemen, and would drive people to the place of their assembly "Book 041, Number 6931"

The spread of the fire, when this volcano erupts, won't be prevented by the existence of the seas as these, in addition to the other seas in the world will turn into fire,. The Holy Quran says what means : "..And when the seas turn into fire."

But Why Adan in Ymen?

Most of the lands of Adan is located in the surrounding sea of the sea, Adan, according to consensus of studies, has been formed as a result of a huge unprecAdanted volcano that broke out and remained erupting for a long time leaving after its extinction a huge crater just like any other volcano, but this one is incomparable, this volcano left behind a huge mountain that contain the crater of that volcano on which the city of Adan in Yemen rests.

It was only when the English conquered Yemen and following the outset of the aviation that the world has discovered that Adan is located on the mouth of this volcano.

Moreover, With the advent of aviation by planes, it has been found that the city is really concave and just as the prophet told us , the English named the city "kraytar",and this was the common name that kraytar, later named Adan, was given.

It is noteworthy that none among the contemporaries of the prophet could ever dare to think that Adan was built on the mouth or the crater of a volcano, moreover; the prophet is talking about the concave shape of Adan.

In 1946, the British Royal Mission headed by professor I.G Gass, after finishing its study on the Adan's volcano , initiated its study saying " ….the present volcanoes are nothing but fireworks, if compared with Adan volcano.

Professor L.G Gass, in his study, goes on to compare the most famous Indonesian volcano that still takes up a large area in the human memory because when it erupted, in 1883, it aftermath is really beyond description; the toll of its victims exceeded 36.000 persons, its detonation went as far as 5.000km, its smoke and dust was so huge and rose high and the sun rays were debarred for more than a week , the island where the volcano happened went into pieces. Scientists estimate the power of this volcano as much as the explosion of one hundred hydrogen bombs. With all of these fearful description, the author compared Adan volcano with that of Indonesia saying:" It is just a kind of fire work if compared with Adan volcano."

In his study" Adan, the History and Civilization in depth" , Marouf Aqouba says:" Adan volcano is one of the six major volcanoes located on one line that extends from Bab Al Mandeb strait and ends at Adan. Some slight eruption, he adds, took place in one of these volcanic centers in the Bird Mountain" Gabel Al-Taheir" that faces Adan.

This volcano goes deep to where the rocks and metals such as iron and Nickel are in molten state. It is now believed that, when this volcano erupted, magma and lava gushed out forming a huge mountain in which the crater of the volcano resides under the city of Adan. This volcano will once again erupt but, at this time, it will be even much more stronger driving people northward to the place where people will assembly on the Doomsday .

The scientific facet:

The prophetic hadith says that the city of Adanis concave-shaped and this was supported by satellite pictures.

The prophet hadith talked about an extinct volcano that will re-erupt before the last hour.

It is known that most of major volcanoes are preceded by earthquakes. Scientists say:"Such earthquakescan be an early warning of volcanic eruptions."

So, in another scientific miracle, the hadith correlates between land sliding and volcanoes .So, where on the earth that culture that knew that there was such relation between earthquakes and volcanoes?

No doubt, It is God, Who informed him of these facts.

From Facebook to God's Book

Many of us have an addictive relationship with Facebook. We check our accounts compulsively, multiple times a day. It is sometimes the last thing many of us do before we sleep and the first thing we do when we wake up; time flies when we’re on it, and it can become obsessive.

Yet how many of us have an addictive relationship—have any relationship—with the Qur’an? This is the Book that transformed alcoholic, oppressive, baby-girl-burying people into callers for justice, defenders of the oppressed, soft-hearted, humble worshippers of the Lord of All the Worlds. If what is contained in this Book brought eternal peace to the hearts and freedom to the souls who were chained to the whims of their own desires, it undoubtedly can emancipate us from our own problems, heartaches and stresses. However, its ability to powerfully impact us may go a lifetime unrealized if we continue to decide that other relationships are more important.

Some of us want to establish a relationship with the Qur’an, but may find it… boring, difficult to understand, or simply not fast enough. We’re used to status updates, pictures and vivid virtual conversations. We prefer fun captions and vivacious images. We prefer real people, an interchange of words and tangible friendships—or at least, Facebook friendships. A lot of us don’t even really know the people we add as friends.

In reality, what we prefer is what the Qur`an already offers and more; it’s just up to us to experience the paradigm shift, with God’s help. Here are a few ways we can tangibly work to establish our relationships with the Qur’an and in doing so, elevate ourselves in this life and in the Next, by the will of God.

From Facebook to God’s Book

What is it about Facebook or other forms of social or popular media that makes us come back, over and over, sometimes multiple times a day—at a minimum? Is it the novelty of reading ever-changing statuses or finding new pictures? Is it feeling appreciated when others comment on our posts? Is it the fun of having instantaneous connections? Is it just boredom? Whatever it is, identify why we keep going back. Then, tweak our reasons for that connection and apply it to the Qur’an.

When we read stories about Noah, Moses, Jesus, Mary, Lot (upon all of whom be peace) — when we read about their struggles or the people who they called to the worship of God, recognize those as the Qur’an’s updates. The conversations that God quotes in the Qur’an, the arguments of the people to their Messengers, those are all comments to posts in the Qur’an’s feed.

Mary (peace be upon her) says something, then God Almighty responds. Jesus (peace be upon him) tells his disciples something and they all start liking and commenting his post. Moses (peace be upon him) posts on Pharaoh’s wall; Pharaoh responds and tags his henchman and is finally completely deleted from Facebook—and the world—in its entirety. God’s Book is more intense, exciting and novel than anything on Facebook. We just need to add it and tag it as our Best Friend.

Sometimes we find Facebook addicting because of our ability to interact with our friends. So let’s find the Qur`an addicting because of our ability to interact with God. When we read God’s Book and we want to like something, say Alhamdulilah (all praise is to God)! We’ll get rewards and be increased in what’s good (Qur`an 14:7). When we personally want to respond to a status, put up our hands and make du`a’ (supplication)! Now, our comment allows for us to directly strengthen our connection with the One Who can hook it all up for us, Who can hear us and will answer us! When we read the descriptions of Paradise and Hell, know that Allah Most High is uploading images for us to focus on and be impacted by; when we’re captivated or horrified by the image, comment through our actions! Do the actions which will include us amongst the ballers in Paradise and keep you from being in the excruciating fire. That type of commenting will bring everlasting results in this life and the Next and, God willing, Allah subahanahu wa ta`ala (exalted is He) will tag us as His homies in this life and the Hereafter.

Make the Qur`an Our Best Friend

Oftentimes, when we’re sad or lonely, when we’re bursting with joy or excitement, when we’re apathetic or just need some down time, we post it. We let everyone know how we’re feeling, what we’re thinking, something that went down in our day or what we wished didn’t go down. We often treat Facebook as a best friend; checking it and reconnecting frequently. Here’s our opportunity to start shifting that connection; let’s start calling Allah’s Book our BEST FRIEND. With ourselves, let’s start using the term, “Best Friend,” for the Qur’an.

If we have a human best friend, think about the way we run to answer their call when we know they’re about to tell us the outcome of a life-changing decision. Think about the way we laugh at inside jokes we post on each other’s walls and comment on a million times over to the annoyance of all our other ‘friends’ whose feeds are overtaken by our conversations. Think about the way that we dial their numbers before anyone else’s, knowing almost with certainty that they will pick up the phone and be there for our comfort.

Now, apply that same understanding of our best friend relationship to the Qur’an. If we take the Qur’an as our Best Friend, we’ll run to it when we see it near, knowing it’s calling us, ready to listen to whatever it wants to share for our own benefit, guidance and happiness. When we’re distraught, feeling lonely or at loss, we’ll go to your Best Friend, hold it to our hearts, open it and begin reading it, reciting from it, reveling in its mind-blowing empathy, its heart-warming sympathy, it’s perfection of wisdom which relates directly to our situations. When we’re excited beyond measure; ready to jump through the roof because we finally got into that school, got that job, regained our health, going to get married to that dream person or had the blessing of a child, we’re going to pick it up and shed tears of joy or words of elation with it, knowing that in reality, we’re going back to the One Who gave us all that we’re excited about in the first place.

Like our best friends, we’ll understand the Qur’an’s inside scoop, its special messages and the guidance it shares with us because we have a special connection that no one else can gauge. Making the Qur’an our best friend begins with a paradigm shift; this is not simply a Holy Book; it’s the pinnacle of our life, it’s our first supporter, our constant companion, our guide, the keeper of our secrets—it’s our Best Friend.

Building Our Relationship

Let’s think about people we’re friends with on Facebook; would we really know about all that’s going on in their lives if they didn’t choose to share pictures of their meals, their vacations, or post about their daily struggles and conversations? Would we really be able to keep up with that many people, some very close friends and some whom we may have met less than a handful of times, if we weren’t in constant connection with them through social media- even if we weren’t actually personally connecting?

But let’s also consider our true best friends. The depth of our friendships likely didn’t happen overnight; we become continuously attached to the person we’ve already connected with because of our consistent ability to reconnect and re-align.

Then what about the Qur’an? How can we expect to know our Creator if we do not even open the social media through which He reveals Himself to us? If we’re willing to read through the posts of people we sometimes barely know, then what about reading through the posts of the One Who created us and all of those people? How can we develop a relationship if we are not willing to consistently converse with the One Who gave us the ability to speak (or sign) at all? How can we expect a depth of friendship to simply just happen with our loving Creator if we are not the ones taking any steps towards embellishing our relationship?

Yet despite the sometimes little attention we give it, the Qur’an’s feed is always beasting, waiting to be our closest homie! Why? Because when we establish a relationship with the Qur’an, we are, in reality, establishing a relationship with the One Who created us and knows us best. He tells us, “I am as My servant thinks I am. I am with him when he makes mention of Me. If he makes mention of Me to himself, I make mention of him to Myself; and if he makes mention of Me in an assembly, I make mention of him in an assembly better than it. And if he draws near to Me an arm’s length, I draw near to him a fathom’s length. And if he comes to Me walking, I go to him at speed,” (Hadith Qudsi, Bukhari). When we think about God, when we make an effort to draw nearer to Him, He comes to us with speed. Therefore, let us run to Him through our relationship with the Qur’an!

Here is how we can start: We can set a certain amount of Qur’an that we must read, regardless of the circumstances, every day. Make sure this amount is in a language that we understand. If we can read Arabic and understand some of it, then read the Arabic but also read a translation. God revealed the Qur’an in the language of the Arabs for them to understand it so that they can live by and be transformed by it. Thus, let us read it in a language that will impact our lives, and let us do so daily. From 1 pages to 20, do whatever amount we can do consistently and stick with it because the Prophet ﷺ (peace be upon him) taught us that the best actions are those that are small, but consistent (Bukhari). Reading the Qur’an daily, year-round, is better than reading a ton only in Ramadan and then disregarding it. How can a relationship flourish to its fullest if it is only maintained once a year?

Facebook can be a great networking tool, but if used obsessively, we can become addicted to a media which often brings minute tangible benefits to our lives. Allah’s Book is an incredible networking tool which will connect us to the Creator of the Universe, the One through Whom we can gain tangible benefit in this life and the eternal hereafter. Let’s go to Allah’s Book—to our Best Friend—to the Qur`an—because the best “like” is when Allah (swt) likes your life.

“… Allah is pleased with them, and they are pleased with Him – those are the party of Allah . Unquestionably, the party of Allah – they are the successful.” (Qur`an 58:22)

Photo: The Messenger of Allah (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) said: “If Allah has decreed a rank for one of his servants to reach, but his deeds will not suffice him to reach this rank, then Allah afflicts him with hardship with respect to his body, wealth and children. Then he perseveres through this until he reaches the high rank that Allah has decreed for him to reach.” [Ahmad]

Once upon a time two men went fishing. One was a disbeliever and the other was a Muslim. When the disbeliever would throw his fishing net he would take the names of his gods and his net would fill with fish. When the Muslim would throw his net out he would do so with Allah’s name, but no fish would get caught in his net. This state of affairs continued till sunset when, finally, the Muslim caught one fish.

However, this fish jumped out of his hands back into the water. So this poor Muslim had to return home without a single fish, while the disbeliever’s bag was overflowing with fish. On witnessing this strange and sad outcome the angels accompanying the Muslim were upset and asked Allah (subhana wa ta’ala), “O our Lord! How is it that your Momin servant, who takes Your Exalted Name returns empty handed while your disobedient, disbelieving servant returns with such success that his bag is full of fish?”

Allah (subhana wa ta’ala) showed the Muslim’s angels the beautiful palace that He had prepared for him in Paradise and asked, “O angel, after reaching this place do you think that any of the anguish and sadness that my Momin servant experienced because of his failure to catch fish will remain with him?”

And showing the horrible place prepared for the disbeliever in Hell, Allah (subhana wa ta’ala) asked: “Will those things that were granted to the disbeliever in life, be able to rescue him from the eternal punishment of Hell?”

The angel replied, “O my Lord! I swear by Your existence that this can never happen.” [Imam Ahmad]

The big lie of astrology

For many years people used to believe in astrology, but the right scientific base of astrology is established in the twenty century, let us read …

People who believe in astrology around the world are spending millionsof dollars to predict the future and to analyze the personality.

But what is astrology?

Photo: The Prophet (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) said: “A Momin cannot have complete faith unless he gives up falsehood in his jokes and debates, though in all other matters he speaks the truth.” [Ahmed]

A person is not at the highest level of honesty till he gives us telling untruths even in jokes and debates.

Once we rid ourselves of lying to our children, lying in ordinary household matters, lying to relatives, lying in business dealings, and lying in the workplace, we need to move on to remove lying from our jokes and lying to substantiate a point that may itself be completely valid.

Eemaan does not allow a person to lie. Lies and Eemaan don’t mix.The Prophet (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) said: “A Momin cannot have complete faith unless he gives up falsehood in his jokes and debates, though in all other matters he speaks the truth.” [Ahmed]

Allah the almighty said about himself :
"..There is nothing like unto Him, and He is the Hearing, the Seeing."

(Quran 42:11)

Please don't waste your time by imagining how Allah looks like , because Allah is different from whatever you imagine .
Try to spend your time in worship , work and dawah until you meet your Lord ...

The holy verse:

Allah be he exalted says: (Or [the state of a disbeliever] is like the darkness in a vast deep sea, overwhelmed with waves topped by waves, topped by dark clouds, (layers of) darkness upon darkness: if a man stretches out his hand, he can hardly see it! And he for whom Allah has not appointed light, for him there is no light.) [Surat An-Nur, verse: 40].

The explanation of the verse:

God be he blessed and exalted talks in this Quranic text about those who disbelieved in God's verses and denied His meeting and disclaimed the Prophet. So those people and their works that they have done in their lives are like a man that runs behind a mirage, panting behind it and when he reaches it he found nothing but his bad work. And this unbeliever is like a man living in the darkness of a deep sea and can hardly see anything because of the accumulated darkness.

Al-Imam Al-Qurtuby may Allah have mercy on him said: (in a vast deep sea) is the sea that we couldn't see its bottom and vast means the sea when the waves clash. And it was recently discovered that there are interior waves in the deep sees.

Scientific fact:

When scientists went down to the depths of the oceans, they found that deep sees have great darkness. And at the depth of one kilometer one could hardly see something and the darkness increases if the surface sea waves are high as they contribute in blocking the sunlight.

They have also found that at the depths of the deep sees, there are internal waves that no one could see unless he goes down to depths of more than one thousand meters and these waves could be harder than the surface waves.

The point of inimitability:

In this Quranic text there are two scientific signs:

1-Talking about the darkness in the deep sees and this is what scientists have recently discovered and it wasn't known at the time of the coming down of Quran.

2-Referring to the internal deep waves and it was also recently discovered by scientists and it was mentioned in the verse as Almighty God says: (overwhelmed with waves topped by waves).

A sister who is not convinced that having boyfriend is Haram in Islam said:
“Haram love ?!! but our love is "pure" and "innocent" ! Forbidden relationships mean fornication before marriage! But my relationship with him is only through facebook and it never crossed the limits..“
the answer for that is:

Lies! Are they really worth it

Abdullah reported Allah’s Messenger (may peace be upon him) as saying: Truth leads one to Paradise and virtue leads one to Paradise and the person tells the truth until he is recorded as truthful, and lie leads to obscenity and obscenity leads to Hell, and the person tells a lie until he is recorded as a liar.
Sahih Muslim – Book 32 Hadith 6307

Narrated Sahl bin Sa`d: The Prophet said, “Whoever guarantees me (the chastity of) what is between his legs (i.e. his private parts), and what is between his jaws (i.e., his tongue), I guarantee him Paradise.”
Sahih Al-Bukhari – Book 82 Hadith 799

Narrated Sufyan ibn Asid al-Hadrami: I heard the Apostle of Allah (peace be upon him) say: It is great treachery that you should tell your brother something and have him believe you when you are lying.
Sunan of Abu-Dawood – Book 41 Hadith 4953

The Prophet said, “Truthfulness leads to righteousness, and righteousness leads to Paradise. And a man keeps on telling the truth until he becomes a truthful person. Falsehood leads to Al-Fajur (i.e. wickedness, evil-doing), and Al-Fajur (wickedness) leads to the (Hell) Fire, and a man may keep on telling lies till he is written before Allah, a liar.”
Sahih Al-Bukhari – Book 73 Hadith 116

Allah’s Apostle said, “The signs of a hypocrite are three: Whenever he speaks, he tells a lie; and whenever he promises, he breaks his promise; and whenever he is entrusted, he betrays (proves to be dishonest)”.
Sahih Al-Bukhari – Book 73 Hadith 117

The Prophet said, “Whoever does not give up forged speech and evil actions, Allah is not in need of his leaving his food and drink (i.e. Allah will not accept his fasting.)”
Sahih Al-Bukhari – Book 31 Hadith 127

It is narrated on the authority of Abu Huraira that the Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him) observed: Three (are the persons) with whom Allah would neither speak, nor would He absolve them on the Day of Resurrection. Abu Mu’awiya added: He would not look at them and there is grievous torment for them: the aged adulterer, the liar king and the proud destitute.
Sahih Muslim – Book 1 Hadith 195

Abdullah b. Mas’ud reported that Muhammad (may peace be upon him) said: Should I inform you that slandering, that is in fact a tale-carrying which creates dissension amongst people, (and) he (further) said: The person tells the truth until he is recorded as truthful, and lie tells a lie until lie is recorded as a liar.

Rains and winds in Quran :

Photo: Rains and winds in Quran :

Winds have a vital role in forming clouds and descending rains, this reality was discovered only few years ago , but the Qur'an told us fourteen century ago about that fact, let us read ….

Meteorologists have made many experiments about the mechanism of forming clouds and descending of rains. After many theories they proved that winds have an important role in forming the clouds as it carries water vapor from seas and oceans to the air's upper layers, but the water atoms have to be collected and condensed to form clouds.

Here the winds start to fertilize the clouds, how does it occur? Winds carry dust atoms and fine salt and these atoms ascend to the upper layers (up to many kilometers) where temperature is very low to form drops which make heavy clouds weighing thousands of tons!!

Scientists discovered that clouds in the sky have a huge weight which is up to millions of tons. In spite of that weight clouds still there. Indeed, Allah almighty is the doer of that as He subjected all physical rules like density rule and gravity rule as without these rules clouds might be gone and life on earth will stop.

Thanks God for all of your graces.

Allah almighty had subjected all physical rules to control movement of water, its dissolving and evaporation, the disturbance of any rule may cause the water to goes inside the ground and life to end. Glory to Allah who says: (And we sent down from the sky water (rain) in (due) measure and we gave it lodging in the earth, and verily, we are Able to take it away.)(Sûrat Al-Mu’minûn- verse18).

The Qur'an tells us about the role of winds in fertilizing the clouds, God says: (And We send the winds fertilizing (to fill heavily the clouds with water), then cause the water (rain) to descend from the sky, and We give it to you to drink, and it is not you who are the owners of its stores [i.e. to give water to whom you like or to withhold it from whom you like].)(Sûrat A-Hijr- verse22).In this verse we can find many scientific miracles:

1. The word (send) is a precise word from the scientific point of view because sending operation should be organized and that what the scientists had found in the maps of winds distribution which were taken by satellite.

2. Winds fertilize the clouds which cause rains to descend from the sky.

3. The descended water is pure and drinkable.

4. The descended water is stored in great banks underground for millions of years.

All of these fact were summarized in only one verse, the question is: are these precise and eloquent facts a human made?

We have to admit that any disturbance in only one cause of rains will leads to scarcity of sweet water and increase in salt water, then life will be contaminated.

Fourteen years ago no one had got the knowledge about forming rains or knew anything about role of the winds in forming rains, but the new science confirmed all of that.

Hence, mentioning these facts in the Qur'an is a testimony that this book is sincere and that Islam is the religion of truth.
