Not Asking Allah is Arrogance

Not Asking Allah is Arrogance

The Messenger of Allah (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) said: “Whoever does not supplicate to Allah invokes His wrath.” [Tirmidhi, Kitab ad-Da’awat]

Allah (subhana wa ta’ala) says: “Surely those who are too arrogant to worship Me will enter Hell in humiliation.” [Quran: Surah Al-Ghafir, Ayat 60]

This shows that not asking Allah (subhana wa ta’ala) is from arrogance. The person underestimates Allah Most Mighty and does not acknowledge that all good comes from Him alone and he overestimates himself, his abilities and that of other creatures.

Whatever you need, don’t ask any human being for it. Don’t ask your husband/wife, don’t ask your children, don’t ask your parents, don’t ask your brothers/sisters, don’t ask your friends… don’t ask anybody! Ask only from Allah and you will feel sweet contentment in your heart when you hand your affairs over to Allah (subhana wa ta’ala).

You can keep a smiling face and good behaviour with everyone. You don’t need to manipulate anybody to get anything. Since all good comes from Allah, obey Him, and work on pleasing Him. And for His sake maintain good conduct and character with all. And never displease Allah to please anybody. Your getting things doesn’t depend on them, it depends on Allah (subhana wa ta’ala) alone.
